Sarpy County, established in the year 1857, was given the name after Peter A. Sarpy. It has the county seat in Papillion while the largest city in Bellevue. It has a total area of 247 sq mi with more than 43.4K households and 33.2K families. Sarpy is one of five Nebraska counties in the eight-county Omaha-Council Bluffs Metropolitan Statistical Area.
